A mountainous backdrop
completes Conwy's idyllic setting and forms a gateway to Snowdonia.
Conwy's history and that of its castle are
intertwined and the ages can be spanned by visiting a wealth of heritage and
modem attractions. Conwy's Town Walls are one of the most complete circuits in
Europe, over three-quarters of a mile in length with 21 towers. In addition to
the new immersed road tunnel spanning the River Conwy are two bridges of much
historic interest and a 20th Century road bridge.

The quiet resort of Deganwy is a
popular boating centre with a pleasant beach and promenade and the views from
Deganwy are superb, encompassing the mountains of Snowdonia, the Conwy Estuary
and westward to Anglesey and Puffin Island.
Llandudno Junction is situated
approximately one and a half miles from Conwy where there is the R.S.P.B.
Nature Reserve and Leisure Centre.
