"The Denbigh Townscape Heritage Initiative (Denbigh THI) is a scheme that was launched by the Heritage Lottery Fund and managed by the Denbighshire County Council.  Denbigh Town Council is also one of the funding partners.

The scheme through its partnership working has attracted significant investment into Denbigh and has had a real positive impact on the town through ensuring the renovation and use of important historic buildings.

All the excellent work has been recognised by he Royal Town Planning Institute through the presentation of awards at both Welsh and National level.  The national award was presented recently at the prestigious National Awards ceremony in London.

More recently, the THI was the winner of the Welsh Regeneration Special Award sponsored by the Welsh Development Agency ans announced at a ceremony in Brighton on the 7th of April.

 

The scheme is also being considered for a National Civic Trust Award.  Being nominated for such an award is in itself an achievement - let us all hope that another award can be added".
